Saturday, January 24, 2015 — ClaroVia client, Eagle Harbor Holdings (EHH), was recognized recently in an article by the influential and well-respected website, IPWatchdog.com, as a major player in the automotive technology sector.
The article was prompted by a recent Thomson Reuters study which concluded that of 12 key technology areas, automotive tech had the third-highest level of patent activity by earning 13% of patents issued in all fields.
Expanding upon the Reuters study, IPWatchdog found that in the field of “autonomous driving” or “self-driving” vehicles, Google was followed closely by Eagle Harbor Holdings for 19.1% of patents issued between January 1, 2009 and January 22, 2015. Behind EHH, the next largest portfolios in this area are owned by General Motors Corp and Toyota, with 13% and 6.1% of the patents respectively.
ClaroVia is Eagle Harbor Holding’s exclusive IP service provider, advising on a broad spectrum of patent prosecution and monetization strategies.
IPWatchdog is recognized as one of the leading sources for news and information in the patent and innovation industries. In January 2014 the popular website was inducted into the ABA Blawg Hall of Fame after being recognized for 3 years as the top IP blog on the Internet.
